The pursuit of Love - The Body of Christ Week 16

Many principles of the Kingdom of God may seem unnatural to how our human existence is carried out here on earth. The idea of pursuing love could be one of these principles that seem unnatural. In this teaching we unpack this profound scriptural instruction to pursue love in order to understand what it means, how to walk in it, and what it enables for the body of Christ. Be ready to be moved.

Recap Points

  1. The instruction is to pursue love and desire spiritual gifts..not the other way around.

  2. The ultimate destination is simply love. (1 Corinthians 13:13)

  3. When we come into unity with the head, it creates the conduit for us to love one another. (John 13:34)

  4. The unseen God is present in members of the Body of Christ.  Treating someone according to that truth, allows that truth to become evident.

  5. The concept of Jesus as your personal Lord and savior is not scriptural.
