A New Way of Thinking - The New Man Week 1

We are enthusiastic about starting our new series on The New Man. Everything that the Father has for us is new, and we see this principle emphasized and repeated over and over again throughout Scripture and especially in the New Testament. In this first teaching of this series, we start with an introductory look at this newness, and recognize that in order for us to move forward with the new, we must take on a new way of thinking.

Recap Points

  1. Believers will often look for signs in their circumstances as proof of new life, when the one and only sign we should look to is Jesus.

  2. Our struggle with the old is rooted in our mind (Isaiah 43:18)

  3. Jesus comes to redeem us to the one who created us.  He reveals to us the true nature of the Father. (Matthew 1:21) (Hebrews 9:14) (John 8:32)

  4. All things are made new in Christ. (Isaiah 43:19) (2 Corinthians 5:17)
